Radio Orphan Annie Collection (1930s)
From 1930 to 1942, children across America were glued to their radios each afternoon, following the adventures of Annie and her friends. Sponsored by Ovaltine, the show's Secret Society and premiums were an integral part of the fun (and marketing).
This charming set includes blank miniature reproductions of two Secret Society Manuals, two Ovaltine premium books, a page of Orphan Annie Sunday comics, an Ovaltine ad, and best of all: a 1936 ROA Secret Decoder Badge with a decoder dial that really spins! The whole badge is barely over ¼" wide - you'll need a magnifying glass and sharp eyes to read it. This is a miniature collection you'll find nowhere else.
The set includes 4 books:
- Radio Orphan Annie Secret Society Manual (1934)
- Radio Orphan Annie Secret Society Manual (1937)
- ROA's Book About Dogs Ovaltine Premium (1936), and
- Little Orphan Annie's Song Ovaltine Sheet Music (1931)
Blank pages. 11/16" to ¾" tall (17 to 19 mm). Vibrant, high-quality cardstock covers with readable titles and superb graphics. All pictured accessories are included. A TreeFeathers original.
