London Town (1883)

A beautiful handmade miniature version of 'London Town,' with verses by Felix Leigh and lavishly illustrated by Thomas Crane & Ellen Houghton. The original was published in 1883 by Marcus Ward & Co. Pictures and verse lovingly portray 'Westminster Abbey,' 'The British Museum,' 'The Underground Railway,' 'The Bear & the Buns,' and many more Victorian London attractions and characters. A wonderful addition to any miniature child's room or Victorian home!

The orginal is a gorgeous 56-page book; I could not bring myself to edit out any of the beautiful pages, so it is split into two volumes to keep the books to a realistic size. This is Volume I. This readable miniature book is 30 pages long, including 2 frontspiece illustration pages, title page, and table of contents.

'London Town' measures 15/16" tall by 11/16" wide and 1/8" thick (24x18x3.5 mm). Vibrant, high-quality hardbound cover and gluebound pages, with readable text and superb graphics. A TreeFeathers original design.
